If you are not a spiritual person, you may want to discontinue this read. I am a follower and believer of Christ. I stand on the principle of unfailing love. Jeremiah 31:3 states: "I have loved you with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself." So, what does God's everlasting, unfailing love look like? Better yet, how might that look for us humans who love one another? To me, this is what it looks like:
showing up in/on time for people
being available to others in need
waiting patiently as others get themselves positioned in the right place
forgiveness, which doesn't mean you forget. It means you free space in your heart and mind to move past what was done to you
helping others if you have the ability and provisions to help
treating others the way you want them to treat your loved ones
We cannot receive what we do not put out. What goes around comes around. Be available for people, regardless if there's a tragedy, emergency, grief or need. These things never come at a convenient time, but they do require assistance from other people. How can you help someone else today by showing everlasting and unfailing love, as Christ did for you?
